Hands of the Kingdom, Inc. — Volunteer Policy
Version 1.1 · Published April 26, 2026 · Current version
1. Attendance and cancellation. Volunteers assigned a shift must show up. If you need to cancel after the lottery closes, contact support@hok.fieldrapp.com as soon as possible. Repeated no-shows result in removal from future lotteries.
2. Profile completeness. You must complete your profile, including a photo upload, before entering any lottery. Incomplete profiles are ineligible.
3. Lottery entry and fairness. Entering a lottery is a commitment to your availability, not a guaranteed spot. You accept your assigned role and stand without negotiation. The lottery process is final.
4. Age requirement. All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. No exceptions for concession stand shifts.
5. Conduct and professionalism. Volunteers represent HOK at all venues, including U.S. Bank Stadium, Target Field, Allianz Field, Huntington Bank Stadium, and Lee and Penny Anderson Arena. Professional behavior toward venue staff, patrons, and fellow volunteers is required at all times.
6. Role compliance. You must perform the role assigned to you — Lead, Cook, Stand Worker, or Check-In Coordinator. Swapping or refusing an assigned role without admin approval is not permitted.
7. Conflict of interest. Volunteering with HOK does not influence grant decisions. You must not pressure admins or board members regarding grant applications.
8. Communication. You are responsible for reading all HOK emails, including role assignment emails, 3-day reminders, and day-of reminders. Missed communications do not excuse missed shifts.
9. Data privacy. By volunteering with HOK, you consent to your name, photo, email, and phone number being stored in the HOK system and displayed in the Volunteer Directory to other active volunteers.
10. Code of ethics. You must not use your position to gain personal financial benefit outside the grant system. Misrepresentation of availability or roles is grounds for removal.
11. Venue policy compliance. You must follow all rules and policies set by the venue where you are assigned. This includes dress codes, access restrictions, safety protocols, and any other requirements communicated by venue staff. Non-compliance reflects on the organization as a whole.
12. Food and beverage. You may not consume or take any food or beverages you are assigned to serve, unless the venue explicitly permits it. This applies during the shift and at the end of the night. Any exception requires prior written approval from the venue or approval by the stand lead.
